

About Consultant
Dr. Nur Suhaila Idris is a Family Medicine Specialist and Lecturer at the Department of Family Medicine, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). She obtained her MD (2001) and Master of Medicine in Family Medicine (2013) from USM and has served extensively in clinical practice, teaching, and community health. Her areas of expertise include smoking cessation, adolescent health, and preventive medicine, with additional qualifications as a WHO Tobacco Control Fellow (2018) and Certified Smoking Cessation Service Provider (2019). She currently leads and coordinates various smoking cessation initiatives at Hospital Pakar Universiti Sains Malaysia(HPUSM), including the Quit Smoking Clinic at Klinik Rawatan Keluarga, and actively engages in research on tobacco control, addiction, and adolescent health. Dr. Nur Suhaila has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to health education modules, and presented at national and international conferences. She also works closely with community and state-level projects such as the Inisiatif Kelantan Bebas Asap Rokok (IKBAR) and serves as project leader for several smoke-free community programs.
